Yume de Aimashou

Yume de Aimashou (Japanese: 夢で逢いましょう) is a Japanese television drama series that aired on the TBS network in 2005. The series consists of 11 episodes and was broadcast on Thursday nights at 21:00, running from April 14 to June 23, 2005.

Plot

The story follows Hatsumi Kitahara, a 26-year-old dental hygienist who desires a conventional life. Her personal life becomes complicated when her father, Kyotaro, returns to live with her after a nine-year absence during which he served as a naval officer. Kyotaro struggles to adjust to his daughter's adulthood, often treating her as a child despite her being a grown woman with a romantic life.

Hatsumi's life is further disrupted when she receives marriage proposals from three different men: Ryohei, the director of the dental clinic where she is employed; Keiichiro, a wealthy IT entrepreneur; and Hajime, a former junior high school boyfriend who currently works part-time. The narrative focuses on the tension between Hatsumi's desire for independence and her father's protective, often intrusive, judgment of her potential suitors.
