Yoshishige Miyake

Yoshishige Miyake (born 1966) is a Japanese film and television director. He has maintained a prolific career in the Japanese entertainment industry, primarily collaborating with Fuji TV and KTV on a wide range of television dramas and feature films.

Career

Miyake began his career in the late 1990s and early 2000s, initially working in production roles before transitioning to directing. His directorial work spans several decades, with a significant focus on television series. He is known for directing popular dramas such as He Who Can't Marry (2006), War of Money (2015), and Avalanche (2021).

In addition to his television work, Miyake has directed several feature films. His 2011 film Hankyu Railways - A 15-Minute Miracle earned him the Best New Director award at the 7th Osaka Cinema Festival in 2012. Other notable film credits include Hospitality Department (2013) and Will You Marry My Wife? (2016).
