Yasashii Jikan

Yasashii Jikan (Japanese: 優しい時間), known in English as Affectionate Time, is a Japanese television drama series that aired on Fuji TV from January 13 to March 24, 2005. The series consists of 11 episodes and was broadcast on Thursday nights.

Plot

The narrative centers on Yukichi Wakui, a former high-ranking corporate executive who leaves his career following the death of his wife, Megumi, in a car accident. Seeking a new beginning, he moves to Furano, Hokkaido—his late wife's hometown—to open a coffee shop named "The Forest Clock." The story explores the strained relationship between Yukichi and his son, Takuro, who was responsible for the accident that claimed his mother's life. The series follows the emotional journey of the two men as they navigate their estrangement and attempt to reconcile.

Production
