Wild Romance
Wild Romance (Korean: 난폭한 로맨스; RR: Nanpoghan Lomaenseu) is a South Korean television series that aired on KBS2 from January 4 to February 23, 2012. The series, which spans 16 episodes, blends elements of romantic comedy with sports drama.
Plot
The story centers on the volatile relationship between Park Moo-yeol, a professional baseball player for the Red Dreamers, and Yoo Eun-jae, a former judo athlete turned bodyguard. The two first encounter each other under hostile circumstances following a public incident at a karaoke bar involving Eun-jae's father, a dedicated fan of a rival baseball team. A video of Eun-jae physically subduing Moo-yeol goes viral, forcing both parties to concoct a public relations strategy to protect their reputations. They agree to claim that Eun-jae is Moo-yeol's professional bodyguard, a ruse that eventually leads to them working together in close proximity.
Production and Broadcast
The series was directed by Bae Kyung-soo and Kim Jin-woo, with the screenplay written by Park Yeon-sun. It occupied the Wednesday and Thursday 21:55 time slot on KBS2, succeeding Glory Jane and preceding the Drama Special Series: Just An Ordinary Love Story.
