Plot

Hyung-tae (played by Cho Seung-woo) is a dedicated game programmer working in a high-rise office building in Seoul. He is under significant professional pressure to ensure the success of his company's new online dating game. His work is complicated by a beta-test user with the handle "Byulee," who frequently criticizes the game's mechanics.

In-ju (played by Lee Na-young) is a former competitive swimmer who works at the Sea World aquarium, performing as a mermaid. Unbeknownst to Hyung-tae, In-ju is the person behind the "Byulee" account. As Hyung-tae attempts to win over his harshest critic by using his own online avatar, "Mello," the two characters develop a deep connection online. The narrative follows their evolving relationship as the boundaries between their virtual personas and their real-world identities begin to blur.
