When I Was the Most Beautiful (Korean: 내가 가장 예뻤을때) is a South Korean television drama series that aired on MBC from August 19 to October 15, 2020. The 16-episode series was directed by Oh Kyung-Hoon and written by Jo Hyoun-Kyoung.
Plot
The story follows Oh Ye-Ji (Lim Soo-Hyang), a ceramic artist who aspires to lead an ordinary life. Her path becomes complicated when she becomes involved with two brothers: Seo Hwan (Ji Soo) and Seo Jin (Ha Seok-Jin). Seo Hwan, an architectural designer, falls in love with Oh Ye-Ji upon their first meeting. His older brother, Seo Jin, a race car driver, also develops feelings for her after meeting her at his father's workshop. The narrative explores the emotional conflict between the brothers and the impact of their relationships on Oh Ye-Ji.
Production
The first script reading for the series was held in April 2020 at the MBC Ilsan Dream Center in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. The series occupied the Wednesday and Thursday 21:30 time slot on MBC. During its broadcast, the schedule was adjusted due to external events: the third episode was delayed to August 27, 2020, due to news coverage of Typhoon Bavi, and the thirteenth episode was rescheduled to October 7, 2020, to accommodate the broadcast of the film Swing Kids during the Chuseok holiday.
