Watashi no Oyome-kun (Japanese: わたしのお嫁くん), also known by the English title Mr. Bride, My Darling, is a Japanese television drama series that aired on Fuji TV from April 12 to June 21, 2023. The series consists of 11 episodes and was broadcast during the network's Wednesday 22:00 time slot.

Background

The drama is based on the manga series Watashi no Oyome-kun by Natsumi Shiba, which began serialization in the manga magazine Kiss on April 25, 2018. The television adaptation was directed by Kaede Kamiya, Hidenori Joho, and Yusuke Mito, with screenwriting by Natsu Hashimoto and Sawako Kawamitsu.

Plot

The story follows Honoka Hayami, a high-performing employee in the sales department of a major consumer electronics company. While she maintains a polished, professional image at work, her private life is characterized by disorganization and a messy home. Her colleague, Chihiro Yamamoto, who joined the company three years after her, possesses exceptional domestic skills, having learned to manage household chores while growing up. After discovering the state of Hayami's home, Yamamoto begins living with her under the arrangement that he will handle the housework.
