Plot

The story follows Ok Taek-Sun (Bae Doo-Na), a translator who struggles with a lack of motivation and emotional detachment. Her life takes a sudden turn following a chaotic blind date with Nam Soo-Pil (Son Suk-Ku), which triggers a dramatic shift in her personality. Taek-Sun becomes uncharacteristically bright, happy, and romantic, finding joy in mundane interactions.

It is later revealed that these behavioral changes are the result of her infection with the "Toxovirus," a condition with a 100% fatality rate that causes the infected to experience uncontrollable feelings of love. Taek-Sun seeks out Lee Kyun (Kim Yun-Seok), a virus expert who is the only individual capable of developing a cure.
