Urayasu Tekkin Kazoku (2020 TV Series)

Urayasu Tekkin Kazoku (Japanese: 浦安鉄筋家族) is a Japanese live-action television series that aired on TV Tokyo in 2020. The series is a comedic adaptation based on the long-running manga series of the same name by Kenji Hamaoka, which was originally serialized in Weekly Shonen Champion from 1993 to 2002.

Production and Broadcast

The series was directed by Toichiro Ruto and Toshiya Matsushita, with a screenplay written by Makoto Ueda, Masashi Suwa, and Yoshifumi Sakai. It premiered on April 10, 2020, and concluded its 12-episode run on September 25, 2020. The show occupied the Friday 24:12 time slot on TV Tokyo, succeeding the series Kotaki Brothers and Shikuhakku.

Premise

The narrative centers on the eccentric Osawagi family, who reside in Urayasu City, near Tokyo. The series follows the daily lives of the family members, particularly the father, Daitetsu, and the various chaotic situations they create that frequently impact their neighbors and the surrounding community.
