Unmei no Hito (Japanese: 運命の人) is a Japanese television drama series that aired on TBS from January 15 to March 18, 2012. The series, which consists of 10 episodes, was directed by Nobuhiro Doi and Ken Yoshida, with a screenplay by Hiroshi Hashimoto. It is based on the 2009 novel of the same name by author Toyoko Yamasaki.

Plot
The story follows a newspaper reporter, played by Masahiro Motoki, who uncovers a secret agreement between the Japanese and United States governments regarding the reversion of the Okinawa islands. The narrative explores the professional and personal consequences of this discovery, centering on the reporter's interaction with a deputy director at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs who becomes a pivotal figure in the ensuing scandal.
