TV Asahi Corporation
TV Asahi Corporation (株式会社テレビ朝日) is a major commercial television broadcasting network headquartered in Roppongi, Minato, Tokyo, Japan. Operating as a flagship station of the All-Nippon News Network (ANN), TV Asahi provides news, entertainment, and drama programming across Japan.

Corporate History
The enterprise was established on November 1, 1957, under the original corporate name Nihon Educational Television Co., Ltd. Initially founded as a commercial television broadcaster with an educational mandate, the network transitioned toward general-purpose programming by 1960. During this transitional period, it became commonly known as Net TV.
In April 1977, the company officially changed its corporate name to the Asahi National Broadcasting Company. Decades later, on October 23, 2003, the organization formally adopted its current corporate title, TV Asahi Corporation, coinciding with the relocation of its main headquarters to the Roppongi Hills complex in Minato-ku, Tokyo.
Broadcasting and Transmission Infrastructure
TV Asahi operates under the call sign JOEX-DTV for its digital television broadcasts. Its primary broadcasting transmissions are historically and structurally anchored in the Greater Tokyo Area. Under the Japanese digital terrestrial television system, TV Asahi utilizes the remote controller ID 5, broadcasting via UHF channels coordinated from transmission towers such as the Tokyo Tower.
Throughout its history prior to the complete transition to digital terrestrial broadcasting, the network operated analog television services under VHF Channel 10 in Tokyo, alongside various relay stations across regional prefectures including Ibaraki, Tochigi, Gunma, Saitama, Chiba, Kanagawa, and select remote island groups.
