Tonbi is a Japanese television drama series that aired on TBS from January 13 to March 17, 2013. The series, which consists of 10 episodes, is based on the novel of the same name by Kiyoshi Shigematsu, originally published in 2008 by Kadokawa Shoten.
Plot
The story centers on Yasuo Ichikawa, a man who grew up as an orphan. After starting a family, he faces a life-altering tragedy when his wife dies in an accident. Left to raise his young son, Akira, on his own, Yasuo navigates the challenges of single parenthood and the complexities of their evolving father-son relationship over the years.
