Plot Synopsis

The story follows three women—Maki Kurusu, Haruka Yamaji, and Kaoruko Nagano—who were high school classmates in a regional city. Although they possessed differing personalities, an incident brought them together as close friends before they eventually relocated to Tokyo. Twenty years later, at the age of 35, the three friends find their adult realities diverging from their initial aspirations. Maki became a housewife instead of achieving her goal of becoming a career woman; Haruka works in the apparel industry rather than pursuing music professionally; and Kaoruko works as an elementary school teacher while hesitating to marry her live-in boyfriend. After growing distant and living separate lives for five years, the women reunite, leading them to confront their current circumstances.
