Todome no Kisu

Todome no Kisu (Japanese: トドメの接吻), also known by its English title Kiss that Kills, is a Japanese television drama series that aired on NTV from January 7 to March 11, 2018. The series consists of 10 episodes and was broadcast in the Sunday 22:30–23:25 time slot.

Plot

The story follows Otaro Dojima, a popular host who harbors a cynical view of love due to a traumatic event in his past. He prioritizes wealth and status above all else. His life takes a supernatural turn when he encounters a mysterious woman with a pale complexion and striking red lips. When she kisses him, he dies, only to awaken seven days in the past. Trapped in a recurring cycle of death and resurrection, he must navigate the consequences of these temporal shifts.

Production

The series was directed by Shintaro Sugawara and Hiroto Akashi, with a screenplay written by Yoshihiro Izumi. It occupied the Sunday 22:30 time slot on NTV, succeeding the drama May I Blackmail You? and preceding Hotel on the Brink.

Reception

The series recorded an average viewership rating of 6.9% in the Kanto region during its broadcast run.
