The Front Line (2011 Film)
The Front Line (Korean: 고지전; RR: Gojijeon) is a 2011 South Korean war film directed by Jang Hun. Set during the final stages of the Korean War, the narrative focuses on the brutal and repetitive struggle between South and North Korean forces for control of the strategic Aerok Hills.

Plot
As the Korean War approaches an armistice, fighting intensifies along the Eastern front. A South Korean company commander is found dead, killed by a bullet fired from a South Korean weapon. Lieutenant Kang Eun-Pyo (Shin Ha-Kyun) of the Defense Security Command is dispatched to the Aerok Hills to investigate the incident. Upon his arrival, he discovers that his former friend, Kim Soo-Hyuk (Ko Soo), whom he presumed dead, is now leading the troops.
Kang finds the unit in a state of disarray and moral ambiguity, with soldiers wearing North Korean uniforms to survive the harsh conditions and a young captain commanding the front. As the ceasefire negotiations continue, the soldiers are forced to fight for a patch of land that may soon be ceded to the enemy.
