The Frog (South Korean TV Series)

The Frog (Korean: 아무도 없는 숲속에서; RR: Amoodo Eobneun Soopsokeseo) is a South Korean mystery thriller television series released on Netflix on August 23, 2024. Directed by Mo Wan-il, the series consists of eight episodes and explores the psychological impact of mysterious events on the owners of a secluded vacation cottage across two different timelines.

Plot

The narrative follows two primary storylines separated by two decades. In the present day, Jeon Yeong-ha (Kim Yun-seok) manages a vacation cottage located deep in the woods. His quiet life is disrupted by the arrival of a mysterious guest, Yoo Seong-a (Go Min-si). Simultaneously, the story revisits the early 2000s, when Koo Sang-jun (Yoon Kye-sang) operated the same property. A tragic incident at the cottage during that period fundamentally altered the course of his life and his family's future. Yoon Bo-min (Lee Jung-eun), who served as a police officer at the local substation during the 2000s, returns to the same station as its chief two decades later and begins to investigate the connection between the two men.
