The Assassin(s) (Korean: 암살자(들)) is a South Korean film directed by Hur Jin-Ho. The narrative centers on the events surrounding the August 15, 1974, assassination attempt on the South Korean president during the 29th Liberation Day ceremony, an incident that resulted in the death of the First Lady.

Plot

Following the assassination attempt, the film follows three central characters as they navigate the investigation: a senior inspector from the Central Police Station (played by Yu Hae-Jin), the head of a newspaper's social affairs department (Park Hae-Il), and a rookie reporter (Lee Min-Ho). While the inspector utilizes his investigative experience, the newspaper staff attempts to uncover inconsistencies and unanswered questions regarding the official investigation, despite facing significant external pressure.

Production

The film was produced by Hive Media Corp. Principal photography commenced on August 23, 2025, and concluded on December 14, 2025. The cinematography was handled by Lee Mo-Gae.
