Tenshi ni Request wo: Jinsei Saigo no Negai (Japanese: 天使にリクエストを〜人生最後の願い〜) is a Japanese television drama series that aired on NHK in 2020. The series consists of five episodes and was directed by Keiji Kataoka with a screenplay written by Sumio Omori.

Plot

The story follows Shugo Shimada, a former detective who operates a private detective agency. He is assisted by Akari Kojima. Despite his professional background, Shimada is disillusioned with his work. The narrative begins when he receives a request from a wealthy elderly woman to fulfill the final wish of a terminally ill patient named Mikie Omatsu, whom she met during a hospital stay. Fulfilling this request requires Shimada to transport Omatsu to a specific destination.

Production

The series was originally scheduled to begin airing on June 6, 2020. However, the production and broadcast schedule were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, leading to a delay. The series ultimately premiered on September 19, 2020, and concluded on October 17, 2020.
