Talk to the Dead (2013 Film)
Talk to the Dead (Japanese: トーク・トゥ・ザ・デッド) is a Japanese horror film released on August 3, 2013. The film was directed by Norio Tsuruta, who also co-wrote the screenplay alongside Takashige Ichise and Midori Sato.

Plot
The story follows Yuri, played by Ayaka Komatsu, a woman who leaves her home to escape her mother and her mother's partner. In order to provide for her younger brother, Yuri works as a prostitute. Her life takes a tragic turn when she leaves her sick brother at home alone, only to return and find that he has died. Consumed by guilt and grief, Yuri eventually discovers a mobile phone application that purportedly allows users to communicate with the deceased. She begins to hear the voice of her brother through the device.
Production and Release
Talk to the Dead was part of a series of horror film releases distributed by Travis during the summer of 2013. It was released in consecutive weeks alongside Cult (July 20) and The Crone (July 27). While these three films shared the same production team—including Mikihiko Hirata, Takashige Ichise, Jimmy Lai, and Jungo Maruta—the narratives of the films are unrelated.
