Suspicious Partner (South Korean TV Series)

Suspicious Partner (Korean: 수상한 파트너; RR: Soosanghan Pateuneo) is a South Korean television series that aired on SBS from May 10 to July 13, 2017. The series, which blends elements of legal drama and romantic comedy, consists of 40 episodes, with two 35-minute episodes broadcast each Wednesday and Thursday at 22:00.

Plot

The story follows Eun Bong-Hee (Nam Ji-Hyun), a judicial apprentice who encounters prosecutor No Ji-Wook (Ji Chang-Wook) under awkward circumstances. After a series of personal and professional setbacks, including the murder of her ex-boyfriend, Bong-Hee finds herself falsely accused of the crime. Ji-Wook, who initially serves as the prosecutor on her case, eventually risks his career to prove her innocence. Following the incident, Ji-Wook transitions from a prosecutor to a private attorney, and the two later cross paths again in a professional capacity.

Production

The series was directed by Park Sun-Ho and written by Kwon Ki-Young. Early working titles for the project included Watch Out For This Woman and Suspicious Romance. The first script reading was held on April 4, 2017, at the SBS Ilsan Production Center in Tanhyun, South Korea. Poster photography took place on April 11, 2017, in Nonhyeon-dong, Seoul. The series occupied the Wednesday and Thursday time slot previously held by Saimdang, Memoir of Colors and was succeeded by Into the World Again.
