Summer Strike

Summer Strike (Korean: 아무것도 하고 싶지 않아) is a South Korean television series that aired from November 21 to December 27, 2022. The drama, which consists of 12 episodes, was broadcast on the ENA network and available through Genie TV and Seezn. It is based on the webcomic Amugeotdo Hago Sibji Adda by Joo Young-Hyun, which was serialized on Naver from April 3, 2020, to January 6, 2021.

Plot

The story follows Lee Yeo-Reum, portrayed by Seol Hyun, who experiences a series of personal crises, including a breakup and the death of her mother. Seeking a radical change in her life, she decides to quit her job and move to a quiet, unfamiliar village. There, she attempts to live a life of intentional inactivity. During her time in the village, she encounters An Dae-Beom, played by Yim Si-Wan, a librarian who struggles with social interaction and a stutter. As they grow closer, both characters find comfort in their connection, and Lee Yeo-Reum begins a journey of self-discovery.

Production

The series was directed by Lee Yoon-Jung and Hong Moon-Pyo, with the screenplay written by Joo Young-Hyun, Hong Moon-Pyo, and Lee Yoon-Jung. Following its conclusion, the time slot was succeeded by the drama Pale Moon on April 10, 2023.

Cast

The main cast features Seol Hyun as Lee Yeo-Reum and Yim Si-Wan as An Dae-Beom. The supporting cast includes various residents of the fictional village of Angok, including Park Ye-Young, Shin Eun-Soo, and Kwak Min-Gyu, among others.
