Strawberry Night (2012 Japanese TV Series)

Strawberry Night is a Japanese television crime drama series that aired on Fuji TV from January 10 to March 20, 2012. The series is based on the novel of the same name by Tetsuya Honda, which is part of the author's Himekawa Reiko Series. The drama follows the investigations led by Reiko Himekawa, a detective with the Metropolitan Police Department.

Production and Background

The 2012 series was directed by Junichi Ishikawa and Yuichi Sato, with a screenplay written by Yukari Tatsui, Makoto Hayashi, Tsutomu Kuroiwa, and Shizuka Ouki. The source material, Tetsuya Honda's novel, was first published by Kobunsha on February 25, 2006. The series achieved an average television rating of 15.3% during its broadcast run.

The series features an ensemble cast led by Yuko Takeuchi as the protagonist, Reiko Himekawa, and Hidetoshi Nishijima as Detective Kazuo Kikuta.
