Spring, Snow (Korean: 봄, 눈; RR: Bom, Nun) is a 2012 South Korean drama film directed and written by Kim Tae-Gyoon. The film explores themes of family dynamics, terminal illness, and the emotional process of saying goodbye.

Plot

The story centers on Soon-Ok (played by Yoon Seok-Hwa), a devoted mother who manages the daily needs of her family. Her husband is portrayed as dependent on her, while her children are occupied with their own lives. The family's matriarch, Soon-Ok's mother, is known for her rendition of the song "Spring Days Passing." The narrative shifts when Soon-Ok receives a terminal medical diagnosis. As she prepares for her final farewell, the family members are forced to confront their relationships and learn to appreciate life through the experience of their impending separation.

Production

The film was directed by Kim Tae-Gyoon, who also wrote the screenplay. Principal photography for the project took place between November 12 and December 11, 2011. The film was distributed by Next Entertainment World and released in South Korea on April 26, 2012. It has a total runtime of 109 minutes.
