Soulmate (2023 South Korean Film)

Soulmate is a 2023 South Korean drama film directed by Min Yong-Keun. The story follows the complex, decades-long friendship between two women, An Mi-So and Go Ha-Eun, as they navigate the challenges of love, jealousy, and personal growth from their initial meeting at age 13 through their adulthood.

Production

The film is a remake of the 2016 Chinese film SoulMate. During its development phase, the project was known by the working title Annyeong, Naui Sowoolmeiteu (translated as Hi, My Soul Mate). Principal photography for the film commenced in August 2020. The film was distributed by Next Entertainment World and released in South Korea on March 15, 2023, with a total runtime of 124 minutes.
