Plot
Tatsuhiko Shirosaki (Keita Machida) serves in the First Investigation Division of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department alongside his partner, Detective Shinpei Sasazuka (Kotaro Koizumi). The narrative begins when Shirosaki's wife, Keiko, vanishes unexpectedly. Shortly after her disappearance, a freelance reporter who was a friend of Keiko is found dead. Despite Shirosaki's belief that the two events are connected, the police department officially closes the investigation into his wife's disappearance and removes him from the reporter's case. Frustrated by the institutional response, Shirosaki resigns from the police force to establish a private detective agency dedicated to locating missing persons. While he works independently, Sasazuka continues his duties at the police department, providing Shirosaki with information to assist in his search.
