Rikon na Futari
Rikon na Futari (Japanese: 離婚なふたり) is a Japanese television drama series that aired on TV Asahi in April 2019. The production consists of two episodes, broadcast on April 5 and April 12, 2019, in the 23:15 to 00:15 time slot.
Plot
The story follows Ryusuke Noda, a successful scriptwriter, and his wife of 23 years, Kyoko Noda. Their relationship reaches a turning point when Kyoko unexpectedly requests a divorce. While Ryusuke is initially resistant to the idea of ending their marriage, the situation escalates as Kyoko retains the services of a lawyer named Masayoshi Doshima to manage the proceedings.
Production
The drama is directed by Daihachi Yoshida and is based on the novel Family Love Story by Takuji Higuchi, which was published by Kodansha Bunko on September 15, 2016. Takuji Higuchi also served as the screenwriter for the television adaptation.
