Restaurant from the Sky (2019 Film)
Restaurant from the Sky (Japanese: そらのレストラン, Hepburn: Sora no Resutoran) is a 2019 Japanese drama film directed by Yoshihiro Fukagawa. The film centers on the lives of local producers in Setana, Hokkaido, and their efforts to promote regional ingredients.

Plot
Wataru Shitara (played by Yo Oizumi) lives with his wife, Kotoe (Manami Honjou), and their daughter, Shiori, on a cattle ranch in Setana, Hokkaido. Having inherited the ranch from his father, Wataru also operates a cheese workshop. Despite his dedication, he struggles to master the craft and often faces criticism from his mentor. He maintains a close friendship with his colleagues, including Kanbe (Masaki Okada), a sheep farmer who relocated to the area from Tokyo.
The narrative shifts when a chef from a prominent restaurant in Sapporo visits the ranch and praises the quality of their local produce. Inspired by this validation, Wataru conceives a plan to host a one-day restaurant event to highlight the ingredients of Setana. The group faces various challenges during the preparation, which are further complicated when their mentor, Otani (Fumiyo Kohinata), experiences a health crisis.
