Re-encounter (2010 Film)
Re-encounter (Korean: 혜화,동; RR: Hyehwa, Dong) is a 2010 South Korean independent drama film written and directed by Min Yong-Keun. The film explores the emotional aftermath of a teenage pregnancy and the complex process of reconciliation between two former lovers who reunite years later.

Plot
The story follows Hye-Hwa (Yoo Da-In), a young woman who works as an assistant to a veterinarian and spends her spare time rescuing abandoned animals. Her life is interrupted by the sudden reappearance of Han-Soo (Yoo Yeon-Seok), her former boyfriend from five years prior.
When they were teenagers, the couple had planned to start a family after Hye-Hwa became pregnant. However, Han-Soo disappeared abruptly, and Hye-Hwa was later told by his mother that he had moved to Canada. During the birth, Hye-Hwa was informed that their child had died. Upon his return, Han-Soo reveals a life-altering secret: the child did not die but was instead given up for adoption. He presents documentation and a photograph as evidence, forcing Hye-Hwa to confront the trauma of her past.
Production
Directed by Min Yong-Keun, Re-encounter was produced by Shim Yun-Woo and features cinematography by Na Hee-Suk. The film premiered at the 15th Pusan International Film Festival in October 2010 and received a theatrical release in South Korea on February 17, 2011. The director has noted that the title Hyehwa, Dong was intentionally left open to interpretation regarding the meaning of the word "dong," which can be associated with various meanings including "child," "winter," or "movement."
