Police in a Pod (Japanese: ハコヅメ ～たたかう！交番女子～, Romaji: Hakozume: Tatakau! Koban Joshi) is a Japanese television drama series that aired on NTV in 2021. The series is based on the manga Hakozume: Koban Joshi no Gyakushu, written and illustrated by Miko Yasu, which began serialization in the magazine Morning in 2017.

Plot

The story follows the professional and personal development of two female police officers stationed at the Machiyama Police Box. Seiko Fuji (Erika Toda), a highly skilled detective who graduated at the top of her class at the police academy, is unexpectedly transferred to the local police box. There, she is paired with Mai Kawai (Mei Nagano), a rookie officer who joined the force for financial stability but is already considering resignation due to a lack of job satisfaction. As they work together, the two form a bond while navigating the daily realities of police work.

Production and Broadcast

The series consists of nine episodes and was broadcast on NTV's Wednesday 22:00 time slot from July 7 to September 15, 2021. It succeeded the drama Love Deeply and was followed by Love's In Sight.
