Plot
The story is set on Shishikari, a remote, economically declining island. Keita Izumi (Tatsuya Fujiwara) finds success by cultivating black figs, a venture that positions the island to receive a significant government grant intended to revitalize rural economies. The community's hope for a prosperous future is disrupted by the arrival of a mysterious stranger named Mutsuo Omisaka.
Keita, his friend Jun Tanabe (Kenichi Matsuyama), and a local police officer, Shinichiro Moriya (Ryunosuke Kamiki), grow suspicious of Omisaka. When Keita's daughter goes missing, the three men confront Omisaka, resulting in his death. Fearing that the investigation into the death will jeopardize the island's grant and their families' futures, they decide to conceal the crime. The situation escalates when it is revealed that the victim was a dangerous criminal, and police arrive on the island to track him down.
