Mystery Freshman (2016 TV Movie)

Mystery Freshman (Korean: 미스터리 신입생; RR: Miseuteori Sinibsaeng) is a two-episode South Korean television movie that aired on SBS on January 29, 2016. Directed by Kim Yoo-Jin and written by Hwang Ye-Jin, the drama explores the pressures of academic achievement and the consequences of personal deception.

Plot

The story follows Oh A-Young, played by Nam Ji-Hyun, who struggles with the intense pressure of university entrance exams. After failing to gain admission to Myungsung University for the second time, she chooses to hide her failure from her family by pretending she was accepted. Her cousin, Jung-Eun (Lee Jini), who is a freshman at the university, discovers the lie. Jung-Eun convinces A-Young to attend classes in her place, leading A-Young into a complex situation where she encounters a fellow student named Min-Sung (Yeon Jun-Suk), who is harboring his own secrets.
