Mrs. Cop 2
Mrs. Cop 2 is a South Korean police procedural television series that aired on SBS from March 5 to May 8, 2016. It served as the second installment in the Mrs. Cop series, following the 2015 drama Mrs. Cop. The series was directed by Yu In-sik and Kim Jung-hyun, with a screenplay written by Hwang Joo-ha.
The plot centers on Ko Yoon-jung, played by Kim Sung-ryoung, who assumes the role of a new detective squad chief. Her character returns to South Korea after completing training with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in the United States.
Production
The series occupied the Saturday and Sunday 22:00 time slot on SBS. It followed the conclusion of Identical Affairs and was succeeded by Beautiful Gong Shim on May 14, 2016. Kim Hee-ae, who starred in the first Mrs. Cop series, declined an offer to reprise her role, citing a need for rest following the production of the original series. Similarly, actors Son Ho-jun and Lee Da-hee were offered the opportunity to return as their characters from the first season but ultimately declined.
