The company specializes in trauma cleaning, a service that involves organizing and disposing of the belongings left behind by the deceased. Following the death of his father, Geu-Ru is joined by his estranged uncle, Cho Sang-Gu. Sang-Gu, a former underground martial artist with a history of legal trouble, becomes Geu-Ru's guardian, and the two continue to operate the business together.

Inspiration
The series is inspired by the nonfiction essay Ddeonan Hooe Namgyeojin Geotdeul (Things Left Behind) by Kim Shae-Byeol, published in 2015.
