Moon in the Day

Moon in the Day is a South Korean television series that aired on the ENA network in 2023. The drama is based on the popular webcomic Naje Ddeuneun Dal by author He Yum, which was serialized on Naver from May 2013 to August 2017. The television adaptation consists of 14 episodes and was broadcast on Wednesday and Thursday evenings.

Plot

The story follows Han Joon-O, a prominent South Korean celebrity who struggles with an inferiority complex despite his public image. His life changes after he is involved in a serious car accident during a promotional shoot. He is saved by Kang Young-Hwa, a dedicated firefighter who subsequently begins working as his bodyguard. Following the accident, Han Joon-O's physical body becomes possessed by the spirit of Do-Ha, a nobleman from the Silla period. Do-Ha was a historical figure who met a tragic end at the hands of his wife, Han Ri-Ta, whom he had loved deeply.

Production

The series was produced for the ENA network and aired from November 1 to December 14, 2023. It occupied the Wednesday and Thursday 21:00 time slot, following the conclusion of The Kidnapping Day and preceding Like Flowers in Sand. The narrative explores themes of reincarnation and unresolved past grievances, bridging the gap between modern-day Korea and the historical Silla era.
