Monster (Korean: 몬스터; RR: Monseuteo) is a South Korean television drama series that aired on the MBC network. The series, which spans 50 episodes, was broadcast from March 28 to September 20, 2016, in the Monday and Tuesday 22:00 time slot.

Production
The series was directed by Joo Sung-woo and written by Jang Young-cheol. During its development phase, the project was known by the working title Pokkoon, which translates to "Tyrant." Before the final casting was confirmed, actors Seo Kang-joon and Hwang Jung-eum were initially offered the lead roles but ultimately declined.
Plot
The narrative of Monster follows the life of a man, tracing his experiences and struggles from the period of the 1997 Asian financial crisis through to the present day.
