Monstar (Korean: 몬스타; RR: Monseuta) is a South Korean television drama series that aired in 2013. The series focuses on the lives of high school students who navigate personal struggles and psychological trauma, ultimately finding healing through their shared passion for music. It holds the distinction of being the first drama series produced by the music channel Mnet.

Plot

The story centers on Yoon Sul-Chan, played by Yong Joon-Hyung, a member of the popular idol group "Man in Black." Despite his public persona, Sul-Chan struggles with internal emotional wounds and a volatile temper. Following a series of incidents, his management company mandates that he attend school to cultivate a more positive public image. Upon joining a school music band, he encounters classmates who are also dealing with their own challenges, leading to a journey of personal growth and reconciliation.
