Mikaiketsu no Onna: Keishichou Bunsho Sousakan Season 2
Mikaiketsu no Onna: Keishichou Bunsho Sousakan Season 2, widely known internationally as Women Document Detectives Season 2, is a Japanese television drama series broadcast by TV Asahi. The series originally aired from August 6 to September 17, 2020, occupying the network's Thursday 21:00 time slot. It follows the investigative work of characters who dive deep into unsolved cases through documents and evidence.

Background and Production
The drama is based on the novel Keishichou Bunsho Sousakan written by Kazushi Asami, which was published on January 31, 2015, by Kadokawa. The television adaptation was directed by Naomi Tamura and Naomi Kinoshita, with scripts written by Mika Omori. In TV Asahi's programming schedule, Season 2 took over the Thursday 21:00 time slot previously occupied by BG: Personal Bodyguard Season 2 and was succeeded by Seven Secretaries in October 2020.
Plot Synopsis
The narrative centers around complex investigative cases handled by police investigators Tomo Yashiro and Risa Narumi. The story begins when a popular television lawyer, Kentaro Arita, becomes embroiled in an adultery scandal, faces intense public scrutiny, and is subsequently found dead. Although police investigate his family, colleagues, and lover—actress Natsuki Toyama—no suspect is identified, leaving the case unsolved. Five years later, the murder of a day laborer named Tatsuji Kosaka at a construction site reveals physical and circumstantial evidence linking the two killings together, prompting Yashiro and Narumi to reopen and connect the investigations.
