Master: God of Noodles
Master: God of Noodles (Korean: 마스터-국수의 신) is a South Korean television drama that aired on KBS2 from April 27 to June 30, 2016. The series, which consists of 20 episodes, was broadcast on Wednesday and Thursday nights at 22:00. It is based on the cartoon series Kooksooui Sin by Park In-Kwon, which was serialized in the Joongang Newspaper between September 2011 and May 2013.
Plot
The story follows Moo-Myung, a man who experiences a life-altering event during his youth. After ending up in an orphanage, he embarks on a path of vengeance, striving to become a master of noodle-making to achieve his goals.
Production
The drama was directed by Kim Jong-Yeon with a screenplay by Chae Seung-Dae. During its development, the project was known by the working title Yasooui Sigan, or Time of the Beast. The lead role was initially offered to actor Lee Je-Hoon, who ultimately declined the part. The series occupied the KBS2 Wednesday and Thursday 22:00 time slot, following the conclusion of Descendants of the Sun and preceding Uncontrollably Fond.
