Plot
The narrative centers on a nurse's aide named Hae-Rim (Seo Young-hee) and a doctor, Hyuk-Gyu (Byun Yo-han), who work at a hospital where a wealthy, paralyzed patient named Chul-Ho is kept alive solely to facilitate a heart transplant for his son, Sang-Woo (Kim Young-min). Sang-Woo, motivated by the potential inheritance of his father's fortune, pressures the medical staff to maintain his father's life support.
When a woman named Mi-Na (Kwon So-hyun) is admitted to the hospital following an accident, Sang-Woo offers Hae-Rim a financial incentive to secure an organ donation consent form from Mi-Na's family. Hae-Rim, struggling with her own financial instability, accepts the task. As she investigates Mi-Na's background to locate her family, she uncovers the difficult life of the woman nicknamed "Madonna," leading to a series of revelations about the social and personal circumstances surrounding her.
