Machigawarechatta Otoko

Machigawarechatta Otoko (Japanese: 間違われちゃった男) is a Japanese television drama series that aired on Fuji TV in 2013. The series, which consists of 11 episodes, was broadcast on Saturdays from April 13 to June 22, 2013. It was directed by Takayuki Takuma and Takeshi Narita, with a screenplay written by Takayuki Takuma.

Plot

The story follows Yujiro Sawaki, a petty thief who possesses a compassionate nature that often hinders his criminal activities. Alongside his younger brother, Yasu, Yujiro attempts to burglarize a sushi restaurant located in the Kuramae district. The attempt fails, and the brothers are discovered and physically confronted.

Following this encounter, the staff and patrons of the restaurant mistake Yujiro for Teru, a legendary sushi chef who had departed the establishment a decade earlier. Despite Yujiro and Yasu's initial intentions to flee, they find themselves integrated into the community of the restaurant, eventually forming close bonds with the people there.
