Love Next Door

Love Next Door (Korean: 엄마친구아들; RR: Eommachingooadeul) is a South Korean television series that aired on tvN from August 17 to October 6, 2024. The series, which consists of 16 episodes, was directed by Yoo Je-Won and written by Shin Ha-Eun.

Plot

The story follows the lives of Choi Seung-Hyo and Bae Seok-Ryu, two childhood friends whose mothers were close acquaintances. Choi Seung-Hyo, portrayed by Jung Hae-In, is a successful young architect who operates the atelier "In." Despite his professional success and personality, he harbors memories he wishes to forget, many of which involve his childhood companion, Bae Seok-Ryu.

Bae Seok-Ryu, played by Jung So-Min, was known for her academic excellence and professional success as a project manager at a large company. However, after abruptly quitting her job, she finds herself unemployed and eventually reconnects with Choi Seung-Hyo as an adult.

Production

Love Next Door was broadcast in the Saturday and Sunday 21:20 time slot on tvN. It followed the conclusion of the series The Auditors and was succeeded by Jeongnyeon: The Star is Born on October 12, 2024.
