Plot

The story follows Woo Tae-Seok (played by Shin Ha-Kyun), a veteran detective who is deeply committed to solving cases, often operating in a morally ambiguous space between good and evil. His life becomes complicated when he encounters a brilliant but dangerous psychopath, Eun Sun-Jae (played by Lee Seol). While he is initially unable to apprehend her due to a lack of evidence, she eventually becomes an unlikely ally, assisting him in solving other criminal investigations.

Production

The series was produced by MBC and occupied the network's Monday and Tuesday 22:00 time slot. During its development, the project used the working title Luther. The casting process for the lead female role was extensive, with actress Lee Seol selected after auditioning against approximately 300 other candidates. The first script reading for the cast took place in early September 2018 at the MBC Broadcasting Station in Sangam, South Korea.
