Lawless Lawyer
Lawless Lawyer (Korean: 무법 변호사; RR: Moobeob Byeonhosa) is a South Korean television series that aired on the cable network tvN from May 12 to July 1, 2018. The legal drama consists of 16 episodes and was broadcast in the Saturday and Sunday 21:00 time slot.
Plot
The series follows Bong Sang-Pil, a lawyer with a high success rate who is willing to exploit legal loopholes to achieve his goals. Driven by a desire for vengeance for his mother's death, he returns to his hometown of Gisung to challenge those in power. He eventually recruits Ha Jae-Yi, a lawyer known for her integrity who has been suspended after a confrontation in court. Together, they navigate a complex web of corruption involving influential figures in the city.
Production
The series was directed by Kim Jin-Min and written by Yoon Hyun-Ho. The project marked a reunion for lead actor Lee Joon-Gi and director Kim Jin-Min, who had previously collaborated on the 2007 MBC drama Time Between Dog and Wolf. The first script reading for the production took place on February 28, 2018, at Studio Dragon in Sangam-dong, Seoul.
