Last Mile (2024 Film)

Last Mile (Japanese: ラストマイル) is a 2024 Japanese suspense drama film directed by Ayuko Tsukahara and written by Akiko Nogi. The film, distributed by Toho, explores the chaos and terror surrounding a series of explosive incidents at a major e-commerce distribution center.

Plot

The story takes place during the lead-up to "Black Friday," one of the busiest periods for global e-commerce. A package delivered from a major online shopping site explodes, triggering a series of mysterious and dangerous events. As the nation faces widespread panic, Erena Funado, the newly appointed center director for a massive distribution warehouse serving the Kanto region, must work with team manager Ko Nashimoto to contain the crisis.

Production

The film was directed by Ayuko Tsukahara and produced by Junko Arai. Principal photography for the project took place between December 2022 and January 2023.
