Kurosagi (2022 TV Series)
Kurosagi is a Japanese television drama series that aired on TBS from October 21 to December 23, 2022. The series is based on the manga of the same name, written by Takeshi Natsuhara and illustrated by Kuromaru, which was serialized between 2003 and 2013.
Plot
The story follows Koshiro Kurosaki, a young man whose life was shattered at the age of 15 when his father became the victim of a major fraud case. The trauma led his father to attempt to kill their entire family, leaving Kurosaki as the sole survivor. Driven by this tragic past, Kurosaki dedicates his life to hunting down and swindling the swindlers who exploit others. He maintains a solitary existence, keeping his distance from others while navigating a world of deception.
Production
The series was directed by Kenta Tanaka, Yasuharu Ishii, and Shunichi Hirano, with the screenplay written by Eriko Shinozaki. It occupied the Friday 22:00 time slot on TBS, succeeding Ishiko and Haneo: You're Suing Me? and preceding 100 mankai Ieba Yokatta. The production is the latest adaptation in the Kurosagi franchise, following a 2006 television series and a 2008 feature film.
