Kuniko Mukoda's Innocent

Kuniko Mukoda's Innocent (Japanese: 向田邦子イノセント) is a Japanese television anthology drama series that aired on the WOWOW network in 2012. The series consists of four standalone episodes, each based on the literary works of the acclaimed Japanese screenwriter and essayist Kuniko Mukoda.

Production

The series was produced for the WOWOW network and broadcast from March 24 to April 14, 2012. Each episode featured a different director and screenwriter, adapting various stories by Kuniko Mukoda to explore themes of human relationships, desire, and domestic life.

Episode 1: Tonari no Onna (Girl Next Door) – Directed by Yuki Tanada and written by Akiko Miyoshi, this episode stars Shinobu Terajima as Sachiko, focusing on themes of jealousy.
Episode 2: Kingyo No Yume (Goldfish's Dream) – Directed by Mitsuhiro Mihara and written by Kumi Tawada, this episode stars Noriko Nakagoshi as Nasuko, exploring the complexities of an affair with a married man.
