Kou Jin (2018 Film)
Kou Jin (Japanese: 荒神) is a Japanese television film that premiered on NHK on February 17, 2018. The production was directed by Zennosuke Matsuura with a screenplay written by Junpei Yamaoka. The film is an adaptation of the 2014 novel of the same name written by Miyuki Miyabe.

Plot
The story follows a village that faces a threat from a giant monster. After a boy is attacked and injured by the creature, he reaches a nearby village to warn the residents. Akane, portrayed by Yuki Uchida, along with Soei Sakakida and Enshu Kikuchi, attempts to devise a strategy to defend the village. Simultaneously, the narrative explores the actions of Akane's older brother, Danjo Soya, who attempts to manipulate the monster for his own purposes.
