Kono Mystery ga Sugoi! ~ Besutosera Sakka kara no Chousenjou ~ is a Japanese television anthology special that aired on TBS on December 29, 2014. Anthology Segments

Kashiopea no Endo Roru

Directed by Kentaro Otani and based on a novel by Takeru Kaido, this segment follows a murder investigation aboard a luxury overnight train traveling from Sapporo to Ueno, Tokyo. The victim is a film director, and the primary suspects include a producer, a director's assistant, a young actress, and a veteran actress.

Nokosareta Senritsu

Directed by Shusuke Kaneko and based on a novel by Shichiri Nakayama, this story centers on the mysterious death of a pianist in a waiting room following a successful performance. The cause of death is determined to be potassium cyanide poisoning. Detective Kawarasaki leads the investigation, focusing on the victim's manager, lover, and daughter.

Kuroi Pan Teru

Directed by Mamoru Hoshi and based on a novel by Rokuro Inui, the plot involves a construction supervisor who was once a popular television hero. When his daughter is kidnapped, he is forced to reprise his former heroic role on television to secure her release.

Diamond Dust

Directed by Takeshi Furusawa and based on a novel by Tadashi Anjo, this segment depicts two corporate employees caught in a severe cold wave and snowstorm in Tokyo. Following electrical outages, the pair must navigate life-altering decisions.
