Koko Nyushi (2012 TV Series)

Koko Nyushi (Japanese: 高校入試), also known by its English title High School Entrance Exam, is a 13-episode Japanese mystery drama series that aired on Fuji TV from October 6 to December 29, 2012. The series was written by the acclaimed mystery novelist Kanae Minato and directed by Mamoru Hoshi and Manabu Kitagawa.

Plot

The story centers on the intense pressure and complex social dynamics surrounding a high school entrance examination. Two days before the exam is scheduled to take place, an unknown individual attempts to sabotage the process. As the school administration and faculty scramble to identify the culprit, it becomes clear that many people involved have potential motives. The narrative follows a high school teacher, played by Masami Nagasawa, as she observes the unfolding events and the hidden truths behind the school's facade.

Production

The screenplay for Koko Nyushi was an original work by Kanae Minato. To accompany the series, the screenplay was serialized in the monthly literary magazine Shosetsu Yaseijidai, published by Kadokawa Shoten, starting in the November 2012 issue.
