Kimi to Sekai ga Owaru Hi ni

Kimi to Sekai ga Owaru Hi ni (Japanese: 君と世界が終わる日に), also known by its English title Love You as the World Ends, is a Japanese television survival drama series. The show premiered on NTV on January 17, 2021, and concluded its initial ten-episode run on March 21, 2021. It occupied the Sunday 22:30 time slot.

Premise

The story follows Hibiki Mamiya, a car mechanic with a sincere personality who has been in a long-term relationship with his girlfriend, Kurumi Ogasawara, since their high school years. While Mamiya is preparing to propose to Ogasawara, he becomes trapped in a tunnel collapse. Upon escaping four days later, he discovers that the world has undergone a catastrophic transformation. The infrastructure has collapsed, and the streets are deserted and stained with blood. Mamiya must navigate this dangerous new reality while searching for his missing partner.

Production and Cast

The series was directed by Shintaro Sugawara with a screenplay written by Natsuko Ikeda. The production features a large ensemble cast, including Ryoma Takeuchi as Hibiki Mamiya and Ayami Nakajo as Kurumi Ogasawara. Other notable cast members include Show Kasamatsu, Marie Iitoyo, and Makita Sports.
